There are many needs within our local, national, and global communities. Our social ministry committee is striving to meet some of those needs by extending christian compassion and support through our many social ministry programs.

The Social Ministry Committee is in need of additional members. The following quote by Menno Simons defines the purpose of Social Ministry.

“True evangelical faith cannot lie dormant. It clothes the naked, it feeds the hungry, it comforts the sorrowful, it shelters the destitute, it serves those that harm it, it binds up that which is wounded, it has become all things to all people.”

Redeemer offers Fair Trade Products For Sale

In 2004, members of the Social Ministry Committee realized the importance of making Fair Trade products available to Redeemer's members and folks from the community

 

Heifer International

Heifer International is a global nonprofit with the goal of ending poverty and hunger in a sustainable fashion.

 

Lancaster Area Food Bank

Redeemer is a major supplier to Lancaster County Council of Churches Food Hub, thanks to the weekly contributions of food left in the Redeemer Food Carts located in the narthex and lower level.
