At Redeemer Lutheran Church all people are welcomed into the community united by the grace, love, and forgiveness we know in Jesus Christ.

Jesus was famous for extending a radical welcome to everyone he met, crossing over all human made lines and boundaries. The congregation at Redeemer Lutheran Church having received Jesus welcome ourselves, extends that same reception to all people. No exceptions.

Redeemer Lutheran Church recognizes and repents for the historical mistreatment of all minorities and marginalizes communities by the Church universal.

Further, the members of Redeemer commit to racial equity for all people. As followers of Jesus we pledge ourselves to the work of antiracism by working against all forms of oppression and discrimination contrary to the witness of Jesus Christ.

We welcome all who seek to follow Jesus regardless of race, ethnicity, class, age, gender, marital status, nationality, physical or mental ability, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression, and family configuration, to journey together toward the promised land of God.
Heifer International
The social ministry committee has been working with Heifer International for a number of years. We have sponsored 10 Arks representing monetary gifts of over $50,000. We currently collect quarters in a tube located in the back of the church. By dropping your extra quarters in the tube we are able to continue our ongoing support for this worthwhile global social ministry. We also offer alternative gift giving for the Christmas Holiday season and throughout the year for Birthdays, Graduation, and Anniversary gifts.

Heifer International is a global nonprofit with the goal of ending poverty and hunger in a sustainable fashion. Established in 1944, Heifer International gives out gifts of livestock, seeds and trees and extensive training to those in need. Based in Little Rock, Arkansas, Heifer International has helped more than 15.5 million families (79 million people) in more than 125 countries.

Heifer International works to ensure that the gift of each animal will eventually help an entire community to become self-sustaining. Animals such as goats, water buffalo and camels are "seven M" animals: they provide meat, milk, muscle, manure, money, materials and motivation. Once its immediate needs have been met, a family is free to sell any excess at market. Participating families are required to "Pass on the Gift", that is: they must give at least one of the female offspring to a neighbor who has undergone Heifer's training. In time, that neighbor will pass along one of the offspring of its animal, and so on.
